I'm in the process of purchasing a 2005 214 Funship. The boat is packaged with Magic Tilt trailer. The total weight of the boat and trailer is just over 5000 pounds. My Sequoia did not have the factory trailer package. I got mix stories from the dealership about the towing. The owner's manual states the 2WD can tow up to 6500 pounds, but the service manager advised me that my Sequoia was only approved for 5000, since the factory trailer package was not installed. Now his boss has changed the story and it can pull up to 6500 pounds. Does anyone have any comments about towing your boat with a Toyota Sequoia? When I take ownership of the boat and trailer, I will have a 6 hour drive home. Thanks, |

I have an 05 Tundra with the 6500 stated capacity. I pull a 248 Vista without any problems. Granted a mountain for me here in Miami is a speed bump and I go only 5 miles per trip although i have done a couple of 150 mile trips to the keys also without issue. |
