It's called a safety chain. Can't say I have ever seen a boat over 20 ft. without one already on the trailer. It's pretty much standard equipment on a properly equipped trailer/boat package.

Hello all, I'm getting ready to add a Gorilla power winch to my 2000 248 Vista trailer. The Winch say to not count on it for holding, only for pulling. I want to add a chain I can attach to the eye and the trailer in case of emergency. Has anyone done this? How do I go about it? Pictures would be GREAT!!!! |
