I discovered my surge brake reservoir is leaking Dot3 brake fluid but I cannot seem to get underneath to take a look to find and resolve the problem. Any advice?

Aren't you under warranty yet? Take it in.

Yep, still under warranty, however, the nearest FW's dealer is 3-4 hours away so I'd like to repair it myself if at all possible.

Don't you just have a black plastic cap on top of the tongue? Pop that off, and you'll see the actual master cylinder cap underneath. Something tells me I'm not understanding the question. Note, DOT3 will wrinkle and ruin any trailer paint it touches, almost instantly.

I'll try not to derail too much here....on my trailer, there is a black cap that looks like you can use either a large socket or big crescent wrench to remove to access the brake fluid. I have put some effort into trying to remove this with no success. Is this a pop-off cap? Just wondering how it is to be accessed. Note that I have the detachable tounge trailer with the Titan surge brake head.
