Post subject: | Spare Tire Mount Help |
I am having a hard time locating a good spare tire mount for my 2007 H190. I have a 6 lug pattern and just can't seem to find a good one. Any suggestoins or pics would be great. Thanks for the help. |

A 6 lug on a 190? My 225 had a 5 lug....my 268 has a 6 lug. I just got this in yesterday, and installed it. Not bad for the price, and its the only 6 lug I found. I also purchased my spare from them. http://shop.easternmarine.com/index.cfm ... goryID=164 |

Thanks. Is a 6 lug unusual for a h190? When you mounted your spare tire did you still have enough room so your boat won't hit the spare? I am assuming you mounted on the side portion of the trailer. Thanks |

http://www.championtrailers.com/SPARE%2 ... RRIERS.htm They are out of the 6 lug carrier right now. I couldn't wait and bought one locally. They said about 2 weeks they will be in. If you call don't let them talk you into a different one. It won't work. |

thanks for the link. Are the trailers channel or box tube? If you don't mind do you have the name of the local shop you picked one up at. I might try to call them and see if i can buy one and have them ship it to me. Thanks |

Here is a link to the thread about my spare tire and mount purchase: http://www.smwebhead.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=1658 I ended up purchasing this mount from my local boat shop for $33. http://www.iboats.com/Tie_Down_Engineer ... w_id.40425 The downside to this one was that it wasn't big tall enough to mount on the side of my trailer so I had to mount it to the tongue. It has worked fine there and looks pretty good (unfortunately, I couldn't locate a picture since I mounted it.) |

Pretty sure it's a box frame. They'll ship it. http://store.anchormarina.com/anchor/de ... EM=6686101 |

So funny, I was searching last night for the 6 lug spare carrier and actually some 6 lug aluminum rims. Why are they so hard to find? Found a couple on Ebay (new products by trailer companies). I have 15 inch rims on my 03 FW Freedom 180 trailer with 6 lugs. I heard that the bigger rims give it more stability when trailering, but honestly, why 6 lugs? All the rims are 5 lug style. Thanks for the links on the spare as I had only found one for $105!! |

Hmmm... my H190 has 5 lug Ford pattern rims. Anyway, I have a FW spare tire mount which works great. Had to swap it from one side of the trailer to the other as we drive on the left here in Oz otherwise would get cleaned up by passing cars if I ever had to use it. |

My guess is they used the 6 lug on single axle and 5 lug on the doubles. I'm glad I wasn't the only one having a hard time finding one. I was going to have my dealer order one, but I figured I could pick one up anywhere. not. ![]() |

i just picked up my wheel/tire combo from my local tire dealer- he didn't have the goodyear marathon tire or the 6-lug 6" wheel in stock but got it in 2 days. the wheel is identical to the original and might be? powder coated? has the same pin stripe along the edge too. this is going to used as a spare on my 1995 h190- bk |

I just put it on my 268 trailer....its a nice mount, cheaper than the dealer too! |
