You're right, Jim. The availability of this information is a little spotty. I found with mine that the best thing to do is just to disect the whole thing over the course of the first year, and make careful records of part numbers, supplier names & phone numbers, etc. I think many trailer boaters know little if anything about what their trailer is really composed of, and that's a problem waiting to happen. The reverse lockout solenoid failed prematurely on my trailer last year, and instead of going back to FW (which I really should have done), I went straight to the supplier who provided better, faster service than even FW could have. By repacking (actually replacing) my wheel bearings after the first season, I'm now intimately familiar with the bearings, hubs, lube system, brake components, etc.

When it comes right down to it, there just isn't any substitute for tearing into it (unfortunately).
