Anyone running one of these? Found a decent deal on a higher mileage 2005. What kind of MPG can I expect? I know MPG can vairy depending on driving style and what not, but not finding much info as what they were rated for from the factory. I was actually shopping for a 1/2 ton pick-up and found this plus I see the 1/2 tons only come with 5000LB hitches installed on them.

Which engine does it have? 6.0 LS style or the 8.1 big-block?

Our 3/4 ton Suburban has the 6.0 and we get about 12-mpg in daily driving. The 6.0 can handle the 10,000-lb (plus ?) 268-V package fine. It does show its weakness (compared to the big-block or a diesel) in up-hill starts or longer heavy uphill grades, but overall it does fine.

When we had the 245 Sundowner, you would never have noticed any lack of guts.

The 3/4 ton suspension is very nice when trailering. Very stable.

In this photo, it's kinda low in the rear, we had a few hudred pounds of building materials in the back.

The one I am looking at has the 6.0L V8. Not sure yet on the rear end gear. Your Suburban has 3.73 or 4.10 gears? I hear the 4.10 will kill the MPG. 3.73 not supposed to be to bad, just not sure what not to bad is yet.

Wow I have the big block in my Suburban and I get 12-13 mpg as a daily driver. It does tow like a dream though. I have the 3.73 rear end.

Well there you have it the it looks like the gearing does seem to make a difference in over all MPG. Since this is also a daily driver I went with the 3.73 knowing(hoping) it would help with the overall mpg.
