Can I get some information on the Enterprise Truck rental?

I am moving my boat from Cumberland to the river this year and would love to just rent a truck to haul it up vs. borrowing.

Can you give me the website or phone number where you found this deal?

Thanks!

I called Enterprise Truck Rental in Northern Cincy. (the one on Park Dr.)

The gal quoted me a price of $49 per day and 49 cents per mile, no free miles included. Did you have to do something special to get the free 100 miles?

Thanks,

Here's what I got from Cincy when I asked, but as you can tell I didn't go much futher with it..

"I don't recall the guys name but it was the Enterprise truck rental just west of Cincinnati on Budd street I think."

I called today and made my reservation. Cost was $69 per day (out of town rate) but only 19cents per mile (no free miles). They also have a option where it's $40 a day but it's 49cents per mile.

Really glad I clicked on your thread. Would rather tow that load without my daily driver truck.

Thanks

Yeah, the one I called is on Budd street and it was $39.00 with 100 free miles per day then .39/ mile after. I wonder if rates are going up? Post a pic of the truck you gett if you go this route.

Will do. I'm scheduled for May 1st.

I double checked three times with the guy to make sure it was a F250 / 2500 and NOT a F150. I can easily see some person confusing the two unless they know the difference.

Thanks to you for the tip on where to rent.

Cincy Aquaholic, We've got 2 F250 extended cab 7.3L PSD old schoolers. Had 2 other (newer at the time) Chevy extended cab 3/4 ton big block gassers (one was a brand new 98 dually). I now prefer a diesel to gasser for towing...we pull a 3 horse with living quarter horse trailer, and tow the Liberator 261 t/460 (8K lbs +). I think if you drive a diesel you would want a diesel. Bought our 7.3's used - a 97 over 8 years ago w/90k miles (now over 220K miles) and the other a 96 1 year ago with 150k miles (now 170k miles). Change the oil and the fuel filters, no issues. We did an overhaul on the 97 trans a couple years ago at 150K miles (1700 bucks) and its good to go. Of course, to each their own...just saying I know from my experience they're not the money pit some are making them out to be. All other things being equal - other items on truck wear out the same and the diesel should keep going 100,000, 200,000, 300,000, 400,000...

There's lots of options out there, and I'm happy with mine.

Scott

Called today to confirm my truck rental reservation.

Of course they screwed it up.............they only have a half ton F150 available. I confirmed three times with the guy that I needed a 3/4 ton truck when I made my reservation.

Guess I will be towing my 248 with their 1/2 ton instead of mine. Not fun.

Funny I was just thinking that Mike.

Sure makes me glad I bought and don't need to rent.

That video has it exactly right.............

I looked at buying, but I can't justify it with only needing to tow twice a year.

I'll be renting this year too. Luckily I only need the 1/2 ton, of course that means I'll get a 3/4 ton!!!
