Looking at Equalizers web site, they offer weight distribution hitches for towed weights from 6,000lb to 14,000lb. Tongue weight rated at 10% of hitch capacity.

I've had no problems with mine. Well made product.

You stated the loaded weight of your boat is 4,500lb. I'm not trying to spend your money, but if it was me I'd buy the Equalizer that matches the max. tow rating of your vehicle (or the max rating for future). Piece of mind that you have a strong connection, plus if you ever go larger or change tow vehicle, you still have the hitch and may just have to replace the vehicle mounted receiver portion.

Thanks JAK, sounds like a good idea. I was planning on buying the 6000/600 Equalizer, which is above the amount the Trailblazer can pull and a lot higher than the boat itself. But if we plan on upgrading to the 220 in the next 5 years than the WD will work as well.

Thanks for the help
