I currently have a Four Winns Trailer with a removable tounge. I want to add the Fulton Swing Away tounge instead so i can swing the tounge out of the way of the garage door, rather then taking it out completely. Does anyone see a problem with this? I can't find specs or requirements on- line. In addition, for anyone with trailer brakes how do you get around the swing away tounge? I currently have quick disconnect when I slide the tounge out. Do you simply just make a longer brake line that is stuck inside the tounge leaving ample room to swing it out of the way? |

Current FW trailers with swing tongues just have a single rubber line connecting the master cylinder in the coupler to a T block mounted below the winch post (in other words you don't disconnect anything). On mine they could have left just a hair more slack - if I swing the tongue completely over as far as it will go it puts a lot of stress on that hose, so I don't swing it quite that far. |

Welcome to the board! What do you want to know? If you're trying to convert an existing trailer, what kind is it, what type of brakes/coupler/etc. do you have now, etc. |

Thanks for the welcome. My trailer is the stock trailer that came with my 2000 180 Horizon. It currently has disc surge brakes. The tongue is currently a removable kind. Ben |

The best advice I can think of is to find a qualified trailer shop! Unless there's some kit that someone knows of that doesn't require any welding, but I'd still be nervous. I'm sure it can be done, though. |

Did you buy the boat/trailer new? THe reason I ask is that the FW website shows the 2000 180/190 trailers as coming standard with the swing away tongue. http://www.fourwinns.net/fastfacts/fast ... csp135.pdf |

Overtons sells a Fulton Swing Away bracket that does not require welding. |
