I have had an issue with the Carlisle tires, sidewall cracked on one. Trailer is a tandem 2008 with less than a 1000 miles on it.
Storage is at the dealers, outside, in the cold, well below 0C.

I will not be going any distance until I replace these tires. :evil:

Has anyone heard of either Sutong or Greenball brand trailer tires? Between Discount Tire and my local Cooper dealer, these are what they have to offer outside of Carlisle and the Marathons.

Both sound like off-brand imports to me, but both are "highly recommended" by the sales folks at the respective shop....

Highly Recommended = Best Profit Margin..! :lol:

Maybe investigate light truck tyres - a known brand like Bridgestone, Cooper etc....

First timer on this forum it was nice reading your post of your past experiences. I can't share any yet since I am yet to have my 2008 H220SS delivered from North Carolina but it's nice to see the knowledge that is shared on this forum. Thanks Joe from Miami. 8)

I just completed a 600 mile tow with new Greenball radial trailer tires. They were noticeably better than the worn out bias belted Carlisle tires. When I got the Greenballs I also went up to load range E and they were much stiffer to lateral swaying. I likes them so far. We will see how they do over several years.

Just had a Gladiator load range E blow today. Tread seperated and shot up and bent the fender, hit the boat, and I could have sworn hit the truck but no damage to the truck.

Boat got a bit scratched up but it buffed right out. Fender will take some work to bend back to shape. Thankfully Boat US had someone out quick to change it out for me.

My trailer for my SL242 came with freeway tires. Anyone ever heard of these before and should I be concerned?
