sundowner 205 (2005) with dual axle trailer.
the bearing sizes touted over the web seem wrong.
ie 22580 and 15123. the former is way too big.

before i ring FW in sydney ( where service goes to die) i thought id check with the people who know best !!

I suspect that as yours is a tandem they may be the same as mine.... On my trailer, bearings are:

Inner bearing: L68149 (1.378” x 2.36”)
Outer bearing: L44649 (1.063” x 1.975”)
Seal: 171255TC – Double lipped seal 1.71”ID, 2.55” OD, 0.5” deep

The numbers should be etched on the bearing race. Hope this helps...

+1 to Mikes comment. Never put new bearings on old races - always replace the race as well. Well worth the small amount of time ot takes to belt the old races out of the hub and press new ones in.

i have a gear puller tool which got the seal out intact - i guess it will pull the race out. now to google how to install.

the bearing shop guy was concerned about the larger bearing as apparently they come in different sized races...

For the races, I use a long steel punch and a 3lb. drill hammer to drive them out from the opposite side of the hub. To install the new ones, I use one of these:

Maybe take a hub in to the bearing place as the race will have a part number on it or he can measure the hub.

Yep, just use a steel drift or chisel to remove the old races, and I usually just drive the new race into the hub using the old race as the hammering surface.

...Or you can get a bearing joint to press them in and out... but where's the fun in this?? :lol:

these are very wrong for th trailers we have. i originally picked up these and they are way to big. soem of the FW trailers have big 6 stud hubs. i imagine these suit them...

OK, sorry about that. I wouldn't have thought FW would put that much boat on a trailer with 5-lug hubs.
