I am pretty sure i know what my problem is just wanted to get some 2nd and 3rd opinions. So I just got my boat a few weeks ago and everything worked but the trim up on the switch, when i tested the boat he told me that and he just used the trailer button. In my drive way I was able to trim up and down this way no problem. We got to the river and launched for the first time. Had a great time!! Then realized the trailer button was not triming the drive up anymore.

When we got back to the ramp i tried to pull out but the drive was draging so i had to stop. Some other boaters came to help. We figured jumping the solenoid worked to get it back up. Now here comes the question. Do you think it is a bad solenoid or switch or both? I am thinking both. When I hit the button the solenoid just clicks.

What do you think?

Thanks all

Replace the solenoid and clean the switches. With a solenoid going bad, it showed the trim switch wiring was a little less then 100% contact, then it went out.

If you hear the solenoid click, then the button is fine. So it must be the Solenoid (or the cable/connections, or the motor).
