Check out this thread: http://www.boatered.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=105537

It's a 365 with a hot tub under the forward berth. Go figure!

That's crazy. The humidity will create mold if it's not constantly dehumidified.

I have this option on our boat. We are planning on using it this summer. Since the boat has A/C on board, I am thinking the humidity won't be a problem. Our lamination has already fallen off and been put back on. It uses 80 gals of water and takes 4 hours to heat according to the manual. It pumps out in less than 60 secs using a 2" pipe to pump overboard.

Ugh, 80 gallons? Which is presumably coming from shore? There's no water maker on board, is there? Otherwise that'd be wasting an awful lot of water.

It uses shore water to fill since the boat cannot move when being used in this configuration "spa mode" Also the A/C cannot be used because the spa uses about 20 Amps to heat the water plus pump it through the heater. We have (2) 30 Amp shore power cords to the boat.

It uses 65 gallons for 2 people and 80 gallons for 1 person. No watermaker on board.

Heh, I can only imagine the pandemonium it would cause in the cabin to try and get under way with it full. I'm sure SOMEONE has done it though. :)

How long does it take to bring shore water (often around 60F) up to bathing temp? I know my tub here at home takes at least 2 hours, and it's running on 220volts!

The owner's manual says 4-6 hours. I will test it this weekend and post the answer here. :) Our water here in the northwest is a bit colder than 60 degrees I think. I will measure it and see before starting the heater.

I can confirm it takes 4-6 hours to heat water from 50 degrees up to 95 degrees using the 120 V spa water heater. Oh well. It is worth the wait.
