Anyone here replace their fuel sender in an 87 Loberator? I know there are universal fit ones but I was looking at a little higher priced non adjustable ones. I don’t really want to have to take the old one out to measure then wait a week or more for the new one before I can install it, would much rather have the new part in hand when I pull the old one. I just need to know the depth of the fuel tank, I emailed four Winns already but they were only able to tell me it was a 100 gallon tank and the original manufacturer and part number for the one fuel sender installed at the factory new.

can you pull it and take a quick measurement, then put it back in as you wait for new pump?

If you have the full hatch for access you can measure it with the tank in place in most cases. Probably an aluminum tank with 4 welded on tabs that get screwed into wood strips that are attached to the stringers. On mine those strips were all rotted so I replaced them and the supports under the hatch with mahogany which is much more rot resistant that the cheap pine they used...
