Hi folks. I just purchased a 1989 170 Freedom with 2.3L OMC 128HP I/O. Previous owner had on it a 13 1/4 X 17P aluminum 3 blade prop. If tach correct, at WOT, 2 people on board, and full tank of gas revving over 6000RPM's. I backed off right away as I know that engine is 5200 max. I would guess the next logical prop would be a 13 1/4 X 19P. Any suggestions? |
