Here's the top on my 261. I'd like to get a "real binimi" that I could stand up under and didn't attach to the front windshield. I don't have the side curtains although the PO said he was sending them...

I'm not sure I have it adjusted right - the metal frame may need to be seperated more - I think the straps are a little twisted up.

I found this boat on ebay with a bimini! Someone makes one.

Scott,

I bought one 4 or 5 years ago for the previous boat I had.

I got it from Boatersworld.com.

Overtons has a FAR better selection.......(and Boatersworld is out of business!) I doubt that FW has anything for the 20 year old Liberators now....

http://www.overtons.com/modperl/product/search.cgi (just enter a search for "bimini")

This one is similar to the one I have on my Liberator...

ht32bsx115 -Rick,

That's it. I was looking at the pictures and noticed what I needed to know, they use the same attachment points, and then use some tie downs front and rear. Looks like no drilling etc. Thanks for your help - I'll check Overtons and do some research.

Scott :D

Yeah, Mine uses the mount point that the OEM top used but some small screw holes had to be drilled front and back for the tie-down straps.

Oh, and by the way, I've had mine up to about 55 mph with the top up......It pretty much stays in place if you keep those straps tight.

Will keep ya posted.

Hey 88Liberator, just curious what part of AZ you're in. Your pics remind me of the Wickenburg area.

A little bit of topic change, we had a custom cover guy come out and measured the ol' Liberator 261 for a Sunbrella cover, that went all the way down over the dark stripe,...and his price was......$1050. Wow (maybe a four letter word fits better here? Dang). I think it has a 3 year warranty, although they should last about 10 years, even in Phoenix...but I don't know. Any opinions out there? I was worried about using it anywhere else except for at home storage, wouldn't want someone to steal it. I told the wife I can't quite swallow that pill. She's got another one coming out soon. Maybe I'll go with something other than Sunbrella?

Back on topic, I found this pic the other day of a camper with the curtains all buttoned down.
