I just purchsed a 1995 Freedom DLX Fish/Ski 17.5 ft. It says i have a 18 gal tank. when i try to fill it i can only get about 8-9 gals. in it and i have gas coming out like its full. the gauge then says it is only 1/2 full. What is going on. Also i don't have a book for it. I went to the Four Winns site and tried to find a owners manual and i can't find anyone for that year. Any idea where i can get an owners manual. Thanks for any info.

I have the same problem with my 95 Freedom I/O

i know about that site, but can't find my boat in there for the manual.

Likely cause is that it is a plastic tank that has warped, happens to a lot of older boats.

My 1st fill was on the trailer and no problem, but when I went to add fuel when boat is in water is when I had problems. I was standing on the swim platform at the time. If I stand on dock and refill I have no further problems.
