I just bought a 1985 26 ft. qwest. Somebody before me change the prop. The boat only is running 3200 rpms at full throttle and only 19 mph . I think it has the wrong prop on it. I looked for numbers on prop but cant read them. Can you tell me what prop it should have on it? The boat hast a 260 motor in it. I think it should run 25 cruising and 30 Full speed? :?:

I could not tell you, but if you go to the Merc web site they have a calculator for that. The Volvo site, In am not sure. OR call any good prop shop, they could tell you.

Just thought I wpould pass this on in case anybody else is looking for a prop. for the same boat.

I emailed 4winns and this was the reply:

Hello,

The correct prop is a 14 1/2 x 17, 3 blade aluminum. This will let the engine achieve 4300 - 4400 rpm's as recommended.

Thank you,

Four Winns Boats, LLC.
