Hey guys,
I just bought a four winns fling, had one before, and took it out today and it would not run well, would stall out after getting to plane, it would stall. Took the carbs apart and found the float upside down, so hopefully that fixes that. It sounds like it is backfiring a bit and will not idle in neutral, have to go in a bit and it will run at a lower RPM. Any ideas?

I would go with a basic tune up...plugs, wires, fuel filters, oil change etc....

Its really hard to start to diagnose something like that when there are so many unknown variables. Get the basics hammered out and it will make diagnostics a bit easier.

All of that has been done. Retimed it, checked out the control box. I plan to remove the carbs this weekend and check the fuel circuits on top and see if maybe the plates warped? Its a fairly new power head, guy I bought it from had a rebuild installed in 05 and ran it very little after that. I guess it sucked up a plastic bag and over heated. Switched Fuel pumps to see if that would remove the problem it did not. Any thoughts or suggestions would help greatly. Thanks
