What year is your boat? Did you buy it new? If you bought it new I'd reach out to Four Winns for some input/assistance.

It's a 2002 and I did buy it new. I called Four Winns customer service and, while sympathetic, didn't offer up any assistance. Unless it was a faulty batch of Vinyl and they had heard of other issues, I didn't really expect any...
Chances are it was something that I did/didn't do.

@ 7 years old, not sure what Four Winns will/could do about it. I would not expect them to either.

Hey - it was only 5 years old when I started this thread :?

Thanks all for the suggestions - I'm looking forward to seeing my new bow seats. If my guy does a good job, I'll likely work through the entire boat.

Sort of weird that it would only affect some of the seats.

True - the bow seat cusions are the worst. Potentially someone stepped on the seat from the dock with something on their shoes and that is also typically where all the kids are on the boat.
The other vinyl is showing signs of browning (sunburn?), especially on the top surfaces also, but none of them have the gummy feel of the bow seat cushions.

I got the seats back the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend (only took him 2 days to get the material and recover them) and they look great!
So, I'll start working my way through the boat to start getting it cleaned up....

Any suggestions on removing the backrests in the bow on the Funship?

Thanks all!

Erik
