Post subject:  permanent dye and ink stains on vinyl

I found an amazing way to get out what we thought were permanent stains from vinyl. My son had a leather belt on and the belt had gotten wet. Everywhere that the belt touched the seat it left marks from the leather dye. He had been laying down and they were everywhere. We tried everything to get it off. soft scrub, comet, vinyl cleaners etc. Nothing even lightened it. We then did some research on line and found out someone had tried zit cream. We put some clearasil cream on it and let it sit for 24 hours. It got lighter. We then did it again, lighter still After 3 applications of the zit cream the stains are compelely gone. These stains were so bad that we were considering ordering another seat. Anyway just wanted to share this with anyone who has given up on getting out their stains. We are now going to wipe it down with 303 vinyl protectant. This was on white vinyl. I don't know how it would work for color.

 Yikes! ZITS on my vinyl :!:

Keep it away from the carpet. I have encountered bleaching on Household carpets from Benzoyl Peroxide :(

Most carpet cleaners blame pesticides. WRONG :!: :!:
