I started with a boat that was pure chalk. They guy at West mareine recommended Finesse It by 3M. It is a little pricey, but I am sold. I applied it with a machine buffer and was amazed at the results. I have never seen anything work this well. Take a look. The Yellow was just painted, so it doesn't count, but look at the top of the sides...If you have some dulling issues, give it a shot. ![]() |

cant agree more. make sure your buffer has variable speed ( fast = hot = bad) and is a random orbital type ( much safer /idiot proof for amateurs). |

I dunno bout Variable speed. I mean yes its good, but if all you have is a 4,000 RPM (no load) Random Orbital Buffer then that'll have to do. For me at least, I got a pretty oxidized boat looking BRAND NEW with that. The really good buffers can get pretty damn pricey. |
