Post subject:  Carpet Repair?

So my carpet is in fairly good shape considering the age of the boat. But I have one hole that the carpet is starting to unravel from. I could live with the hole, but each time it seem to get a little more un-raveled. Is there any way to fix it? I had considered cutting off the unraveled part but I am affraid it would cause it all to go like a seam. I have also considered just putting a bit of glue on it to hold it together.

Any thoughts? Anyone else had success with some way of fixing this?

Depending where it is on your floor, I would either put a blob of glue on it or use that fabric repair tape, then put a nice nautical themed area rug over it.

Fabric repair Tape? Here is a pic of where it is just to the right side of the table insert...

Yep, something like this: http://www.overtons.com/modperl/product/details.cgi?pdesc=Covermate-Boat-Cover-Bimini-Bandage&i=75899&aID=601A2C&merchID=4006

Also, that looks like a great spot for a rug. I put one in the "U" of my seats, works great for wet feet, spills, and it is thick plush, so it feels nice.
