Yea, hull is in prime waxing position now! Does it make me less of a man if a tear ran down my cheek as I watched that video? If so, then it never happened. |

I am right there with you! The fore strap seemed way too far back to begin with. When blocking a boat, you actually want to block pretty far back on the bow...but that video was ridiculous... |

One good thing about having an old boat with layers of old bottom paint, I don't worry about the bottom...at all....one day it all has to come off....but that's one job this old driveway mechanic is NOT doing... |

Guys here who bottom paint their own boats have a whole system to lift the boat with floor jacks and wood under the keel to pull the trailer out from underneath it. I've seen it done but I leave that to the boat yard. I do everything else myself but getting under a 4,000 boat is just something I am not doing, LOL...to say nothing of the toxic bottom paint. Doing the drive is bad enough. |
