So I was about 30 minutes into cleaning my black rubber stained fenders with lighter fluid and goof off and then some lady drops a Magic Eraser in my lap. Why I didn't think of that in the first place I don't know but these things are incredible. It won't remove the rust stains though.

Picked up some old nasty looking fenders last year for free (one was Taylor made!). About 5 minutes with some vinyl cleaner / polish from Walmart and they looked good as new! That stuff is fantastic!

Magic Eraser is sandpaper, so be careful what you use it on.

I have used "Restoration Technology - Marine Strip" on fenders before, and it cleans them in seconds! Also works on the badly stained vinyl seats on my previous boat, but I would be afraid to use it on newer vinyl because it is pretty strong.

On Fenders or vinyl, I would treat with 303 Aerospace Protectant afterwards.

I just redid my fenders and they came out great. I used regular hull wax. It was 3m for medium oxidation so it was a little course. It works similar to the magic eraser since it is course but it include wax in one step. Not sure how the wax will hold up on this type of material but they came out looking new in about 10 minutes for 2.
And they were HORRIBLE before.
