Want to remove carpet from my 87 Liberator. The floor in the cuddy is already fiberglassed but there is carpet over it currently. Cockpit is still unglassed wood but feels like it's solid and doesn't really flex under pressure but haven't pulled carpet up to make sure. Was thinking of coating cockpit with CPES
http://www.rotdoc.com/products/cpes.html upon the recommendation of LouC to prevent any rot that may not be visible.
Was then looking at coating everything with this "Tuff Coat"
http://m.overtons.com/modperl/product/details.cgi?pdesc=Overtons-Tuff-Coat-Rubberized-Nonskid-Marine-Coating-gallon&i=73213. I know there is a primer that I will have to use that is specially made for it

Was curious is anyone has used this, and if so how do you like it? I know Cabella's, Bass Pro Shop also carry the same thing just different labels. Or should I try something from West Marine? Any input is greatly appreciated. Having it professionally fiberglassed with not slip is not a financial option at this point in time but I REALLY want to get the carpet out to prevent any rot.
