Have you tried Yacht Brite Buff Magic ?? ![]() I have used it successfully for years to remove oxidation, gel coat imperfections, and stains in the gel coat. It's not very abrasive, and will not hurt your gel coat. I would not buff at 3200 RPM however. |

Buff Magic or Aqua Buff will clean that right up. |

and a 10" grinder with a buff pad and a 10" variable speed buffer are two entirely different animals.. 3600 is WAY WAY WAY to fast.. i set my 10" @6-800rpm when i buff.. this eliminates burning in swirl marks or any unwanted damage. |

Thanks for the quick answers. My buffer is variable in the following way: ON and OFF. Wondering if I should replace it? It is just what I could find at the local store and I'm not married to it or anything. For the Buff Magic- machine application only or can I do it by hand and be equally effective? |

BIO-CLEAN check out the website. Video show is true. It has got my white hull back to new looking. It removed the coffee stain from being docked for a month/6 weeks. At $10 bucks it's worth try. http://www.biokleen.com/ |

Paul, whatever happened with this? With any buffer, the fastest you'd ever want to go (on boats or cars) is about 2,100rpm. Most of the time a range of ~800 to ~1,500 (depending on the pads & compounds being used) is appropriate. |

Funny that it goes right up to the rubrail and not just below the waterline. As if it has been washed with something. |

Maybe try some Lime Away and then a good waxing. |

This is still in the same place as I never got to it last Fall. Hopefully I can get it worked out this Spring. I'll let you guys know once I get somewhere with it. |

I'd start with the Star-Brite Instant hull cleaner as another posted, then a good buff with a mechanical buffer and a semi-aggressive compound, then a finishing polish followed by a healthy coat of wax. |
