Well, finally picked up my new H180 and learned the hard way that denim ink bleeds onto brand new white vinyl seats. It was raining and we drove for about 30 minutes. Got out of the boat and saw blue stains on the vinyl. These were OLD jeans too, but they still left ink on the seats.

Anyone else have this happen? And any tips for removing this type of stain?

Thank you.

Try a Magic-Eraser pad.

Don't use a magic eraser. You might as well use sandpaper.
Do this. Mix bleach and water and dampen a rag with it. Lay it on the stain. This way you have no runoff on the threads
Sun is your friend also

Not sure if this will work on your situation but my buddy had some oil on his hand and accidentally put his hand on my brand new white vinyl cushion also. I ended up using Dawn dish soap. I put a little water on it to lather up let it sit overnight and wiped it off w a wet rag and stain was gone. I figured if they use it to get oil off of birds it will be safe to use on vinyl. Also I was told not to use anything harsh due to the fact it can take the dye/paint off the vinyl. Good luck.

That works fine for oil or grease but he has dye in the vinyl. It's going to be tough no matter what he uses. Eventually (hopefully) it will be bleached out by the sun

Don't do anything drastic that will damage your vinyl because as other posters have stated, the sun will more than likely bleach it out.

What's wrong with magic eraser? I use it on almost everything and have never had an issue.

Might be fine for little things but it is like sandpaper. It will eventually remove the coating on the vinyl.
The problem the op has the Magic eraser isn't going to remedy

All the comments about the sun intrigued me so I decide to wait a few days. It's already working itself out on its own, but there is a faint discoloration. I'll wait a few more days and may try a gentle touch up with 303 vinyl cleaner. Thanks!
