It all depends on the depth of the scratches, and maybe a little on how long they are. Do the scratches catch a finger nail? If so, you may need to wet sand
GENTLY, stopping immediately once the scratches are gone, starting with P600 and progressing thru P1500. Then compound with wool and polish with foam.
If they don't catch a nail, DON'T sand, and start at the wool step.
