Anyone using salt-away for exterior/surface cleaning?

Not typically, but I have sprayed it on and rinsed it off a few times.

It leaves streaks on the exterior so you need to rinse it off immediately.

I tried the similar product "Neutra-Salt" and found it to be streaky also.

Usually I just hose off then use microfiber rags to wipe most of the water back off.

I use regular boat soap and have been using the starbrite stuff which does a pretty good job. The bottle also states it will not remove wax. Not sure how abrasive salt-away is but it may remove the wax.
I just use a bucket and brush with the hose and its pretty quick. Seems to remove everything and goes back to the shine from spring waxing.
Are you trying to remove old salt stains or just cleaning after a run in the salt water? I have salt stained windows and nothing seems to remove it, not even compound.
