Is anybody familiar with the thru-hulls on an '06 378 Vista? At what point do they need to be replaced? Factory material? Recommended replacements?

Why would you replace a thru hull?

They fatigue and eventually fail (especially if you trailer the boat or they get exposed to sunlight). If the thru-hull is below the water line the boat can sink if the sump pump(s) don't keep up. I've seen 2 boats go down in our marina due to a lack of paying attention to thru-hull fittings. Some manufacturers use brass which do not fail.

Have all been Stainless steel. Can't recall my 04 225.

Stainless steel. Nice. Shouldn't need to replace ever. Thank you.
