Any opinions on Nufinish? I use it on my cars and love it. Easy on easy off. Used it last year on my H180 but see a lot of you guys use Flagship due to the UV protection agent and that its rated for marine use. Nufinish says on the bottle for use on boats but nothing about UV protection although I would think it does.

At any rate, what do you guys think? 8)

Since NuFinish contains no wax, it should be okay. I would use 3M marine wax since it has the best UV protection, and is actually wax. I don't believe you get any UV protection with NuFinish.

Makes sense. Because Nufinish is also a polish perhaps I'll use it for a first coat getting all the grime off the boat then put on a coat of 3M or other wax which has the UV protection.

Is 3M marine wax a product I can get locally? (Walmart, Autozone, etc)

Yep , you can get it at West Marine, but will be a bit more expensive.

The marine wax with Scotchguard is what I use and recommend.

Got the boat all cleaned up now. Here's what I ended up doing last weekend:

-Nufinish - Top, Sides, and Inside of boat plus the entire trailer (used an orbital buffer on the exterior)
-Liquid Glass - Bottom of boat for less friction and products says it retards barnicles
-303 Upolstry - Bimini top, entire boat cover, and interior carpet (used the entire 16oz bottle)
-303 Aerospace - entire boat all fiberglass except the hull
-Rain-ex - On all glass
-Stainless Steel Polish - on the prop (may do a coat of liquid glass later)

This 303 stuff is amazing. I bought two 16oz bottles of the stuff and used less than half a bottle to do the entire boat. It only took about an hour max and applied very easily. Will add another coat in a couple of months. "UV protection for your stuff". Hopefully this works as advertised. Happy so far.

I have used nu finish with good luck on fiberglass.

You mention using two different types of 303. I just bought a big bottle of 303 Aerospace and I thought that was what I am supposed to use on the vinyl seats?

I use 303 Aerospace on basically everything interior/exterior with the exception of the carpet/canvas. On the carpet/canvas, I use the 303 fabric protector product which is basically scotch guard except better.

If you canvas doesn't bead up anymore, I highly suggest it.

303 is Unbelievable. I bought the Aerospace stuff for the general rubber, plactics and liner fiberglass. I use 3M for marine vinyl and the 303 canvas stuff as intended.
Funny, I used the 303 Aerospace as a pre-use treatment on the rubber swim mat after I got the boat home last spring. I had the mat off (god its heavy) and laying on the ashphalt at the warehouse and sprayed it down and let it soak in the sun at the time. It's a year later and after our severe winter and traffic in the back lot the darken'd pavement still very clearly shows the overspray of the stuff. The ashphalt remains noticably darker like black spray paint. :o Remarkable.
