Hello All,

I've done a search for this but can't find the right answers. While on the boat, what is a good proiduct to use as a "spray and wipe" method of cleaning. There's always a need for touch ups while anchored but I've never felt confdent in using something like Fantastic for fear of damaging or yellowing the gelcoat. Any suggestions?

I'm not so much concerned for the vinyl as I use 303 for that. It's more the gelcoat I'm curious about.

Thanks.

I like Maguiar's Quick Clean Marine but it's become hard to find around here.

I am a big fan of Yacht Brite Serious Marine Cleaner for most surfaces - been using it for years as my primary touch-up spot cleaner. I also really like 3M's Clean & Shine for any gel coat surfaces.

I keep a spray bottle of Simple Green diluted 10:1 on board for quick clean ups. Biodegradable and it smells good. You can find it anywhere.

If you don't care about wax... there is a product called "mean green" that I have only seen in the northeast, but it works great.

Meguiar's (I think) has a quick wax product that works well. And on the seats and vinyl I use Babe's boat seat soap. Has a nice little scent that the wife likes and keeps everything UV protected and conditioned.

Otherwise, windex.

Maguiar's and Mothers both make a version of marine quick wax. I like them both.

babes all the way. used it once and wow never went back. stuff smells good and works great. Use it on all the fiberglass. 303 on the upholstry and the rest is all babes. If they use it on 80k wakeboats i'll use it on mine.

I use Spray Nine for just about everything. http://spraynine.com/marine/

I also use just a regular automotive detailing spray for an occasional quick wax

Last, but not least, I use Slimy Grimy on the underside when I pull the boat out of the water in the fall. After over 4 months in the water it needs a little help.
