It is my understanding, we have a "Don't Ask-Don't Tell" policy regarding our posts.

What happens in the boat, stays in the boat.

Ugh. You really DO NOT want to use nail polish remover on the vinyl. It will likely cause more problems with the vinyl. Same thing with acetone (which most nail polish removers used to contain). The solvents break down the plasticizers in the vinyl. This makes it brittle and leads to premature cracking. You need to make sure whatever you use is specifically listed as not being harmful to vinyl.

If the polish is thick enough you might be able to chip some of it off. A can of freeze spray can help to chill the polish way down. A can of air turned upside down will sort of approximate the same effect. Just be careful not to flex the chilled vinyl too much, to avoid cracking it too.

Call your FW dealer and get a price on replacing the seat. Compare that against a quote from a local vinyl shop.

Most seats come out relatively easily. Which one is it?

HAHAH.......its just a small amount, so I'm not too worried, but just for future reference b/c I have a lot of females on the boat (including my fiance!!) And it is bound to contiune to happen. Maybe I should invent something and become a millionaire...............

I would make a "NO NAIL POLISH" application policy in the future. Like they can't find ten minutes to do them up before you get on the boat or atleast wait until your at a dock or beach.

I've had a million thoughts for a reply on this one. Admittedly, if some super hottie wants to sit on my boat and paint her nails.....

..... oh I give up.

Yeah, I remember another thread a while back about boat rules.... for me it's Giant Chocolate Chip Cookies. Sun, chocolate, seats... BAD!

We haven't had an issue with it yet, but we only apply it on the swim platform, with the wind blowing away from the boat. What issue did you have on your front seats?
