Use the 303 High Tech Fabric Protectant as others have suggested. I've used Scotchguard on my other boats canvas and it never seemed to give me the desired results I was looking for. I found that the 303 definately out performs Scotchguard.

When we bought our bought last year the brand new OEM cockpit and bow canvas beaded the water and it ran off like a duck's back. We had it shrink wrapped for the winter and got it back last weekend. It's been raining the last two days and I've noticed the canvas seems to have absorbed the water, verses repel. Is it advisable to spray Scotchgard on it? |

Has the top been able to dry? It might just be very wet and lost some of its repelling ability. Also, 303 makes a great fabric water-repel spary. It was recommended by Overtons for the mooring cover I got. Might want to check that out as well. http://www.overtons.com/modperl/product ... 34346&aID= |

FW, in the 2007 Horizon Owner's Manual, does suggest spraying the weather covers with Scotchguard. |

I think the fabric that FW uses is Costal and they recommend 303 fabric protectant. |
