The staples in the vinyl strip on the underside of the bolster seat have come loose due to shearing from each movement of the bolster cushion. The strip itself is now off. This leaves the underlying cushion vinyl edge exposed to that rubbing and is already pulling away some where it attaches. I'll try to get pics up tomorrow. I tried to take apart the chair so I could just restaple it, but I just couldnt figure out how to do it without having to pull apart other stapled edges. And as long as the bolster is attached there is no position that allows one to get at the edge where the strip needs to be stapled. I guess it would be possible with a long nosed extender stapler but I have no idea if there is such a thing. I may just switch out the 2 chairs as the port side chair is identical and rarely would I raise the bolster. Anyone have similar problems? Any ideas? A friend suggested JB Weld, which is his answer to everything.

This is a common problem, but I'm not sure there's a common solution. I heard FW replaced some seats because of it, but I wouldn't expect them to on a 6 year old boat.

Mine has the same problem, but since I never move my bolster up & down it hasn't come loose yet.

When mine was in warranty I had this same problem fixed by the dealer. They sent both seats off to an auto trimmer rather than ship new seats out from the US. The repair has been perfect ever since. So pop the seat out and take it to your local auto trim shop...
