Just a quick question on application. I heard 2 methods of application of 303 and want to know which is better....if one is. Do I spray and leave the spray on to air dry....... or Listen to the manufacturer's instructions and spray and wipe right away. It seems like spraying and wiping doesn't get as good as an application. Thanks! |

Multiple light coats, let air dry. |

+1, just light coats. Too much and it will rub off on the females - totally wrecking their tans. |

It makes the vinyl soft but ive had more sun damage since I started using it compared to normal UV blocking stuff. Weird. Like vinyl that looked perfect is now brown in 2 months since I used it. Idk. |

I hope you are not using the Bow and Cockpit cover canvas formula. (Green bottle). I too like the many light coats and let it dry. For the blue bottle stuff, works great if you keep using it lightly. |

Luckily, I am using the Blue. What does the other one do to the covers? St. Louis Dave wrote: I hope you are not using the Bow and Cockpit cover canvas formula. (Green bottle). I too like the many light coats and let it dry. For the blue bottle stuff, works great if you keep using it lightly.

You should be using the fabric guard on the covers...which I believe is the green bottle. Blue label is the 303 aerospace protector for the vinyl seats... |

Took moring cover over to Ship N Shore Sewing and they said to first clean canvas with Simple Green and then if there are any stains left, then use laundry detergent. I chose Clorox COLOR SAFE BLEACH. I soaked the cover for an hour or so in Simple Green then after a scrubbing for another hour or so with the Clorox COLOR SAFE BLEACH. I then rinsed the hell out of the cover turning over multiple time until sudsing stopped. After 2 days drying I then used a small pump spayer and moderally soaked the seams and mad sure the other areas were wet, but I would not say drenched. Moring cover took a little over a quart, camper/bimini, side curtains and a second coat on the moring cover took another 3 quarts. So a gallon was sufficient. http://www.amazon.com/303-High-Fabric-G ... 571&sr=8-2 ![]() ![]() |
