I have a 1998 Four Winns Horizon RX 180. While I had it at camp in the garage someone broke into the garage and stole the radio out of it. I want to replace the radio but I am it the original owners of the boat and didn't install the after market radio that is in there. The thieves at least unplugged the radio. My question is when I buy a replacement radio how do I get a plug that matches what is under the dash. The plug goes into what looks like the wiring harness. I also see no hook up for an antenna. Can anyone shed some light on this ? Thanks Pete. I can snap some pics if anyone needs them.

HA, that radio is worth like $1 on the street.

No harness plug needed. Cut that crap off. I did on my boat, it was loose and corroded that could lead to crappy audio. The wires are standard stereo colors (front LR rear LR power, ground, key, dim). Just use some standard heat shrink style crimp connectors. Done and done. The radio will still have it's plug if you ever need to remove it.

I had a Kenwood marine KMR-350u in my H180. Sounded amazing and around $100! Way better then the JVC-KDX50BT I installed in my new boat. Kinda wish I just purchased it again, but it doesn't have bluetooth (and not wet rated but it wasn't a concern on the cuddy). The kenwood has water sensors so when it gets splashed it shuts down to protect itself until it's dry.

Ya I hear ya about the radio. They left the lights on too and killed the battery in the boat. Also stole a chainsaw and a circular saw. Thanks for the advise. Just didn't want to cut the plug off if I didn't have too. Thanks

If you HAVE to you can buy the connector it's FW part # 027-1419, but it comes pre wired for that old kenwood and probably wont work on the new one (but the remotes should if you have some). It's probably $40 and you gotta hack it anyways. Not worth it.

Thanks. The previous owner had an aftermarket radio in there. I never looked till now to see how it was wired in. I think the wires going into the plug are a couple orange wires, some darker wires, a black, and not sure of others. I will have to climb i there and check them out.
