Has anyone needed longer wiring for the stereo remotes? When I replaced my Sony HU, the remotes no longer worked correctly. After replacing the remotes, the swim step remote works fine, but the helm remote's functions are messed up. When I use the wires that came with the remote, it works fine but they aren't long enough to reach the remote where it is mounted. The pre-existing wiring looks like it was spliced to extend it - probably at the FW factory. This is just an issue with the 1 wire that looks like it has standard 3.5mm connectors...

Anyone else had this? Is this just a standard wire that I could make myself or have made somewhere?

It is just a 3 conductor head phone jack. I would just buy a extention cord. Female at one end & male at the other.
