Let me first say up front, I don't know much about wiring, or troubleshooting electronic problems.

I have a 2006 Horizon 260 that I bought used and believe it has a factory Clarion XM/FM/CD/RADIO on the port side with a remote by the driver's wheel.

Everything had been working fine, but the other day a high pitch noise started coming out from all the speakers (sounds like feed back). The noise continued even with the volume turned down and/or muted. The noise is there while using the tuner or aux plug for my Ipod. It happened to be a rough day on the lake when this started so not sure if that is related.

When I first noticed the noise, I had forgotten my IPOD so had been using the FM radio. I had thought it was just a bad FM signal. So the next time I went out of the boat, I brought my IPOD and saw that the noise was still there. It almost sounds like a feed back noise.

I also found that I can not turn on my VHF Radio or GPS. These had both worked before (I don't use often, so I am not sure if they stopped working or if at the same time as the radio noise started?)

I have not checked the fuses yet (for VHF and GPS), will check today....

Anyone have any advice for some easy things to check that might make this a quick fix?

Thanks
