Post subject:  Clarion Amplifier to H310 2007 model
Hi All, New to this forum.

I have recently purchased a Horizon 310 and during the usual discovery of the boat I found that some nice person had stolen the 6 channel amplifier from the front left hand seat locker, thankfully they left the sub woofer amplifier on the right side alone.

All of the wires have been cut so I have no identifiers to give me direction to rewire a new amp, the speaker wires are relatively easy as I have got plenty of colour codes off the intenet, but the earth wire which should be black is no where to be found, I have however been able to get a good earth on the blue and white wire but just wanted to confirm with another 310 owner and mabe get a photo of the wiring so I can complete this install properly

Hi Warren,

I have not heard of many 6 channel amplifiers, but even a 4 channel would generally draw a reasonable amount of current.
Amplifier power & earths are generally best run back to the 'house' bank of battery/s.

I found the earth wire last night, it turned out to be a yellow wire which suprised me as all earth wires I have ever come across on 12 volt systems are black. The blue and white wire was the remote wire, so all is working as it should.

I also fitted a 4 channel Clarion Amp instead of a 6 as the audio centre only had 4 channels and just jumped the 2 extra sets of speaker wires onto the fronts :D
