When did Polk Audio begin making stereos? I was curious so I purchased one. It is the same guts, wiring, and connectors as the Jensen Marine stereo. It is a "brand name" on a Jensen stereo......wow!!!! BUYER BEWARE.

Just did a 5 second google search. YOU ARE CORRECT SIR!

ASA Electronics manufactures the Polk Audio marine stereo.

Glad I didn't buy that piece of junk.

Sorry, been away for a while and weather hasn't been the best up here.
Anyway, head unit is really great. LCD screen is easy to read, even in bright sunlight.
The menu's are easy to navigate and very intuitive(read, no manual required  )

The best part is the Bluetooth functionality. Stupid simple to pair with my iPad and iPhone.
You can stream Songza, Pandora, or your favorite personal collection all day long.
If a call comes in, the stereo mutes then resumes when you terminate the call
From a safety standpoint, It offers an audio/visual low battery alarm and NOAA weather band.

That's about it for now...

I wasn't being sarcastic. I just purchased a weather radio to keep on my boat, it would save me from carrying around multiple devices.

Doesn't your VHF radio have NOAA? Why would you need to purchase separate radio?
