I think I'd be inclined to fill the current holes and drill the new ones so that the logo is properly aligned. |

I guess the speaker setup used in my horizon is different from what you guys have seen. The speaker is mounted in a plastic piece under the gunwale but the plastic is only a 1/8" or so thick. Nothing behind it. I can reach up behind it from under the u-seat. It really can't be filled. This has been my dilemma. I will take a look at it again this weekend. Maybe post a pic. Thanks for the input. |

Hmm - I'll take a look at mine tomorrow. It's been a while since I replaced the stock Sony speakers with the DB651s, but if I recall correctly, it was a similar situation. |

Update: The tweeter dome on the db651's rotate so I can install the speaker with mounting holes at 12, 3, 6, and 9 so that the holes are not near the old holes. I'm going to do the install tomorrow, but I did remove the old speakers already and previewed the new. Great improvement: Old: New: Think it was time? |
