Not that I'm worried about it but it would appear that I actually have 6" speakers - which I found out AFTER ordering the 6.5" speakers. Guess I'll cut the holes a little larger and enjoy the sound of a larger driver...

It looks like I have blown the original speakers in my H200. Is there an easy way to determine whether I'm replacing with 6.0" or 6.5" speakers? The grill measures 6.5", the mounting screws are at approximately 6.25" and the actual woofer measures 6.0". Not really into mobile audio so have no idea. |

What you describe below are measurements typical of a 6.5" speaker. Standard sizing is 5.25, 6.5, 5x7, 6x9. Etc. Usually, a 6.75 is just a 6.5 with wider tabs for mounting. Don't over complicate it. You have a 6.5. |

Thanks again. It's not so much me getting wrapped up in the measurements but the manufacturer's listings all showing similar or the same model of speaker offered in both a 6.0 and a 6.5" version. I'm buying online so it'd be great to purchase once. |

Looks like they will fit depth-wise so I think I'm good to go. Looking forward to improved sound and am definitely going to get a matching power amp for them (there is one for the tower speakers already). These Kicker brand replacement speakers actually have blue LED's in them so I guess I'm running power to each speaker now also. Gotta figure out which switch to run them with... Should be a fun little project! |

I think that might be someone else on the forum you are thinking of (many speaker threads I've noticed). I didn't have any particular brand preference - anything was an upgrade from stock in my eyes. I don't think Kicker is high end but for in cockpit of my H200 they should do fine. The WetSounds tower speakers were where I wanted better quality so tuber, boarders, and skaters could hear their tunes. |

hope you have the towers on dual zone as to not blast the ears out of the cockpit while trying to throw found out the towers. |

Hahaha - that's hilarious! That is EXACTLY how I blew the cockpit speakers. So...short answer is 'no' I don't have dual zone ability the way I'm set up. I'm removing the cockpit speakers from the head unit to a separate 2nd power amp so I can adjust the cockpit vs tower using the standard front/rear fade on the hu. I 'think' that is how it will work since the stock Sony head unit (CDXH910) has 'Front Audio Out' (already in use with tower speakers" and 'Rear Audio Out' which I will use as the input for the 2nd power amp feeding all 4 cockpit speakers. Make sense? |

Thanks for that link. I had been eyeing up the WetSounds WS240 unit but it is significantly more expensive. If the stock head unit fade feature doesn't work the way I'm expecting it does, this is exactly what I'll go after. |
