Post subject: | Bluetooth Adaptor for Clarion CMD8 |
Hi All, I am running a Clarion CMD8 and using the USB cable to connect my iPhone to play iTunes/Pandora etc..... My question is; if I want to stream music wirelessly.... can I simply attach a USB Bluetooth Adaptor to this cable or do I need to use the RCA AUX cable that also exists at the rear of the unit? Thanks..... |

. If your Clarion has a 3.5mm audio input, then this should do what you are looking for. MCM Part #50-9795 http://www.mcmelectronics.com/product/50-9795 . Edit: Sorry, I now noticed that this product had poor reviews. |

http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/3018445618 ... noapp=true I bought this and it has worked perfectly! You dont have to have the 3.5 for it to work and I think it has better range than the other hit and miss ones you will find on ebay or amazon. The fusion ones you do not have to charge either, they are powered from the 12v feeding the stereo. |

Thanks for that......would this work for a Clarion head unit as well (being a Fusion product, I'm not sure) |

Looks like the BT-100 unit would be good for any head unit with RCA auxiliary inputs. The BT-200 unit would only work with some advanced Fusion models. |

Its the same unit I have on my Clarion, so yes it will definitely work. Yours should have the aux RCA inputs in the back just like mine did. Trickiest part is finding the proper 12v so that it doesnt stay on all the time and drain your battery. Just have it coming off the power for the ignition. |
