Have any of you with a 2007 era Horizon 210 replaced the factory Clarion CD Player? I'm wondering if you had to put in a custom mounting kit to accept a smaller head unit? The Clarion seems rather large, so I'm just wondering what you all have done. If you have pictures of your install, that would be awesome!

Thanks!

Jamie

if I were you, I'd chat Crutchfield, they'll tell you exactly what you need, but if I had to guess, maybe you have a double DIN and yes, there are kits to adapt to single DIN

In spite of its larger face, the clarion still only requires the standard 2x7 inch cut out. However, the question is, how precise did the factory cut the hole. We have seen some cut right on the money, while others where cut pretty liberal because they knew the large face would cover. So, an ABS or HDPE filler plate may be needed to add some material for the new head units retainer basket to bit to. Either way, you may need a trim bezel to cover the screw holes left behind by the old unit.

One option is getting a piece of starboard cut to fit and mounting the new radio to that.

I used them a few years ago to make a cover plate for me, I had an empty spot left from a DVD player I removed. Turned out really well.
