hello i am new to the site and this may sound noobish. but i had replaced the org radio and when all hooked up i get no sound.. does anyone have any insite on this. just tell me im doing something wrong...audio and boats to me is new, now in a car is a different story... |

Its not much different than a car. You could pull out the speakers to check the colors of the wires and then compare to the back of the radio. Did the radio come with a wiring schematic explaining what each wire was for? If the unit turns on maybe it is something with wires not connected correctly. |

yeah i didnt think it was much different than a car. it was the old factory radio so it never has been changed. they are a 4 wire set up, left pos right pos red power and black ground..and they wire the ground all in one. thats what confused me. so when i wired all the grounds together i got no sound. so i went back to square one and tried a piggy back speaker wire to see if that worked and grounded it to the harness and grounded the ground to the old ground and it worked. so i had to re wife the speakers to get a ground for each of them so i could wire the harness right...it works great now and now i can stop talkin to myself when i take the bout out. |
