Adding a sub and amp to my 07 H200SS. Where have you guys found a good and easy spot to mount the amp?

Factory location for my amp is behind the "trap door" infront of the helm. Easy access to the elec and runs for speaker cables, even if you have a tower installed. leave enough room so you may make adjustments to the gain without being a pain. My location for the sub is under the bench seat in the stbd side. Again, close to the existing electrical. I may suggest locating this on the opposite side to help with weight distribution.

Brent... Mine is in the opposite side as yours. Was that factory, or an add-on you did that I missed?

I put it there to be on the same side as the Sub & Aux battery that will provide power for it.

Are you guys running more power to the factory speakers as well as the sub? I think my stock speakers sound pretty damn good, but just wanted a little more bass so I was going to just use an amp I had laying around for the sub. It is a MTX 2-channel that I am going to bridge into the sub to push about 300W into it. I have had this amp hooked up to 10" subs before in my car and it sounded awesome.

Your stock Clarions do sound pretty good from the deck power, but you would be AMAZED at what they are capable of with about 50 watts of clean amp power feeding them. I could not hear them while under way when powered by the deck. After hooking them to the amp, I can hear them at WOT nice and clear.

So are you running two amps then or just one? Just afraid of running to much power and killing the battery. I only have one battery right now, but do carry a jump pack with me.

07H200SS - What are you sub plans? I am kicking around a few ideas. I like Brents idea, but I cant talk him into coming down to cut a hole in my boat and I am too much of a wuss to do it myself.

I ordered the factory FW sub box and then ordered a 10" sony marine sub from Boatersworld.com as they had the best prise on it.

Are you all running marine amps? or just regular car stereo?

I am curious being that I have an extra PPI sitting here in the closet.
