Any of you guys who replaced your original speakers have any of these that you'd like to get rid of? At least one?

Sounds like there might be a story behind this question.

Yeah, I've got one cutting out intermittently. I know they aren't the best speakers on the planet, but they're perfectly fine for me. But, it's certainly annoying when one isn't working right.

Mike I might have one-don't know if it is the same one you are looking for. It came out of my cockpit a few weeks ago. I bought the standard sound system from the factory. Did you buy the upgrade or did you also go with the standard?

Hi Paul, I did the upgrade. Not sure if they're the same or not. If so, I'd be happy to pay you for a couple of them.

Sounds like the ones you are looking to replace are better quality than the ones I could offer. I'll double-check the model number next weekend, but I'm pretty sure of this.

I believe that the standard stereo included the Clarion 1605 speakers, and the upgrade included the 1635 series. The obvious differenc is that the 1635's have remote tweeters. Having said that, I do believe that the 6.5" speaker portion of the 1635 series is the same as the 1605 series - might just have to wire up the 1635 cross-over to the 1605.

That's probably right. I wonder what the diff is between 1632 and 1635?

I have a couple 1622's that came out of my 2005 268 Vista and another 2, which I don't recall what model they are. Both 6.5's. They are on my work bench and Table Rock. Let me know and I will bring a couple home (To KC) this weekend if you want either.

Thanks Choices! I think the 1622 is a 2-way speaker with it's own tweeter. I'm not sure if that would create a problem with the separate tweeter (which I could disconnect, but would rather not). If you don't mind, perhaps you could get the model no. off the others while you're down there? And bring me back some TR water... :) Thanks again!

Sure is a far cry from what was happening last year at this time.
