To update my old thread here:
viewtopic.php?f=7&t=3175I have completed the major obstacles in my audio setup. I installed my new Sony CD player, and MB quart speakers. I picked up a set of wakeboard tower speaker cans and they are working out way better than I expected! I picked up everything from ebay, and have maybe $275 invested in everything thus far.
My biggest obstacle was not having a location for front speakers, there are only simple plywood panels towards the rear.
On to the photos:

The speaker cans required drilling a 3/8" hole thru the sidewall of the helm, I wish I used a smooth headed bolt, however it doesnt seem that you will bump your legs on them, and they arent two distracting to look at.
Dont mind the wiring that will be all cleaned up tomorrow. I just wanted to make sure everything worked before securing everything 100% in place.

New Sony CD w/new faceplate housing.

New rear's to match the front.

Finished product

Everything sounds pretty good for only using the cd player's power. I was shocked how good it seems to sound in the garage, I will make the call this weekend on the water. However I still think I am going to amplify the speakers and add a 10" sub to complete the setup.
Before that happens I need to get my dual battery setup completed, and then add the rest of the stereo.
Thanks for lookin!
